“Vintage Car”
Day 102 of 366 Day Project
“Magic is everywhere, explore & be amazed everyday!”
Ok I’ll confess I’m not a car enthusiast, however when I see one of the old vintage cars I can’t help but stop and admire them. Like this little beauty I saw today. Picture perfect, in pristine condition and obviously loved dearly by its owner proud owner.
Classic cars used to be like artworks: nice to look at and collected by folks who felt a passion for the intrinsic merits of the vehicle (or painting) and what it represented in a cultural sense.
In this modern world of fast moving, complex and ever changing vehicles we have left behind one of our simplest pleasures and that is the pleasure of driving. It is expected in our vehicles today that no bump is felt, every rattle is silenced and all that opens and shuts does so before we even think about it.
We have become shut off from our senses that tell us we are actually driving one of mankind’s greatest inventions, the automobile.
Classic Motoring Clubs of around Australia believe it’s not when but how you get there. Take your time, enjoy the scenery, enjoy the company and above all enjoy the ride.
